In conjunction with the exhibition, ‘Unearthed, Unveiled’ Betti Ono is pleased to present the artist work workshop ‘Making Something From Everything’, led by featured artist Jamie Treacy on Saturday, June 7th from 2-4pm.
Jamie will be presenting a challenging and fun professional development-style experience for adult practicing artists. Jamie will share his materials and techniques, and encourage participants to create their own techniques. The workshop will begin participating artists getting to know each other, and learning about a variety of artists who work in collage and assemblage. The majority of our time will be spent making an assemblage artwork on a wood panel (or more than one if you have time!) that you can take with you. Workshop topics include, but are not limited to: archival collage materials, strategies for melding disparate materials in an artwork, strategies for communicating movement in an abstract composition, devising a unique visual language in collage works and presentation options for mixed-media artworks.
