Tracey- working with abstract imagery and Dixon- largely figurative, have foundcommon ground in their desire to unearth and unveil a life force through their artwork. Thiswork demonstrates that the art object is more than just a tool for documentation orexpression, but also a tool to connect the viewer with a spiritual state. Unearthed, Unveiledwill be on view June 5 - June 28, 2014 at Betti Ono in downtown Oakland. The openingreception will be held on First Friday, June 6, 6- 9 pm.Presented as a Satellite Exhibition in partnership with Pro Arts and East Bay Open Studios2014. East Bay Open Studios is an annual event occurring the first two weekends in June.This year, June 7-8 & 14-15, 11am-6pm, over 400 artists open their studios to the publiccreating an awesome opportunity to meet artists, discover new neighborhoods and purchaseaffordable art.
